Maintaining your fitness and healthy lifestyle isn't always easy. Many of us do not get the kind of daily physical activity essential for us to stay fit, and most of us are out of shape & physically "unfit". "Physical activity" means any body movement that uses skeletal muscles - and requires energy to perform. "Fitness" is the ability of a person to engage in physical activity. Fitness can be measured by watching the endurance, strength and flexibility.

If you are a couch potato and want reasons to stay fit. The best reason you got to stay fit is your physical independence so you can do your daily physical functions on your own without requiring any assistance. Studies show that people who exercise over their lifetimes can avoid being disabled at the end of their lives. Those who don't exercise, if they live long enough, are sure to experience disability.

Regular exercise may be one of the keys to happiness, It stimulates brain chemical dopamine which induce relaxation and happiness. Exercise helps you live longer. Regular exercise reduces the risk of heart disease, osteoporosis, diabetes, high blood pressure, high cholesterol and other chronic health problems. In general, exercise extends longevity by diminishing the risk of a variety of different ailments.

Besides the above 5 benefits of exercise it helps to maintain your personality look-wise, increases your endurance and strength. It improves the way your lungs work, helps prevent and control diabetes and is good for your heart. It increases your creativity if you join a team and makes you feel stress free and relaxed.

Everybody wants to be fit and athletic, being healthy and fit is not as easy as eating. You may be wondering if there is a magic wand..... Abra ka dabra.....whooosh........ and there you go I am slim, fit and healthy

Well that's a nice imagination, but is there a way or maybe an easier way to be fit and stay healthy. This definitely takes time & need some dedication, motivation & you have to meticulously follow a regimen.

My plan to Stay fit and healthy:
1) Most people plan for tomorrow, next week or next month. But .....I seriously suggest... start right now. Yeah i said now, just stretch your feet, stand up on your toes and lift your hands, stretch, stretch stretch. Yes, there you got it start right now, if you have to do it, just do it now.

1) Wake up a bit early, pull your pants up and start walking go out. If don't like to exercise, just take a stroll. Go where you like, spend sometime out in the morning. You can opt to buy milk, vegetables, newspaper or even new undies........whatever... just go out. Slowly increase the speed of your walk, gradually to more distance. Go to a farther shop to buy things.

2) Follow the Golden Rule - Breakfast like a KING, Lunch like a PRINCE and Dinner like a PAUPER. Keep your dinner very light, avoid cheese, butter, curd or any other fat products.
Breathe in and breathe out deeply whenever your remember. Do simple stretching exercises. 

3) Sort out your diet. It is one of the most important components of a fit lifestyle. Many people ignore it, but if you exercise and eat lots of junk food you will not get any fitter. 

This is because the junk food turns to fat almost immediately and exercising only gets rid of that fat, so you are effectively going nowhere. 

First of all, get rid of any junk food. This includes chocolate, sweets, crisps and most importantly fast food and beverages. You don,t have any idea how bad fast food is for you. So cut out the junk. Eat salads, vegetables, fruit and lean meats, which are high in protein. You should try to eat potatoes, pasta and bananas, since they offer large amounts of energy over a long period of time. Most of this requires willpower so have some guts!

4) Take a nap, sleep well : You hit the gym four times a week. You consciously watch what you eat. But your weight does not seem to be budging. The reason could be those late nights, avoid those disco's bars and late night shopping, try to sleep Early 11 pm is ideal time to go to bed.
